Golf in the Southeast
Ireland's Southeast is often overlooked, yet it features an impressive collection of courses, comprising traditional links, championship parkland courses and hidden golfing gems. Prepare to play great courses like Faithlegg, Tramore, Mount Juliet, the Castle and Waterford GC.

Amongst the golfing gems to be discovered in Waterford region are: Mount Juliet, designed by Jack Nicklaus and host of the 2002 and 2004 American Express World Golf Championships, which was described by Tiger Woods as having ‘perfect fairways’ and some of the ‘best greens’ that he has ever putted on; Waterford Castle Golf Resort, designed by Des Smyth and Ireland’s only true island golf resort - you even have to catch a private ferry to tee off. Explore parkland courses such as Tramore with Championship golf at it's finest,

Golfers should also take time out to enjoy Waterford city, home to the famed crystal, and pay a visit to The Bishop's Palace Museum, The Medieval Museum, Reginald's Tower and the Viking Triangle Cultural Quarter. Those looking to do something different will certanly enjoy The King of the Vikings, world's first Viking virtual reality experience! Booking is recommended - each session can only be attended by 8 people and places fill fast!

So why not explore one of Ireland’s undiscovered golfing regions for yourself!
Tramore Golf Club
Waterford Golf club is located 10 Minutes from The Greenway Manor. The Old Course was ranked inside the Top 50 of Irish Courses and sat inside the Top 20 in Parkland Courses. We like to think of Tramore Golf Club as a Parkland Course with a Links Wind! From its founding days back in 1894, Tramore Golf Club has stood proudly across three locations in Tramore, from its original location on the Back Strand, to Graun Hill before eventually settling in its current location over 80 years ago.

A major redesign of the Championship Course coupled with the development of a new nine hole layout has established Tramore as one of the premier golfing venues in Ireland. Host of many championships including the Irish Close championship as recently as 2015, Tramore Golf Club offers a unique challenge to golfers of all levels.
Waterford Golf Club
Waterford Golf Club is located 10 Minutes from The Greenway Manor. Founded in 1912, Waterford Golf Club is situated on a hill overlooking the historic city of Waterford in the Sunny South East of Ireland. The front 9 was designed by Willie Park junior (twice Open Champion), and the back 9 was designed by the great James Braid, five times Open Champion.

With its magnificent views, this parkland course is a gem on the outskirts of Waterford. The irregular city, with its towers and steeples spread before the eye along the valley, and in the west, Slievenamon and the Comeragh Mountains, make a background of enduring splendor.

The 18-hole par 72 Des Smyth designed course is located on a 310-acre private island. The 6814-yard course covers an area of over 200 acres on the Island Resort, with parkland and woodland areas including numerous scenic and strategically challenging features.

To play golf at Mount Juliet is to experience up to 7,200 yards of visionary, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Designed Parkland, set across 180 acres of rolling Irish countryside. Magnificent specimen trees, miles of rushing river and verdant pastures all play their part, bringing sensational natural beauty to a course that is ranked among the world’s finest parkland courses and has played host to numerous unforgettable tournaments. From hosting a Tiger Woods-winning Championship in 2002, to recently being voted Ireland’s Best Parkland Golf Course by the Golfer’s Guide to Ireland and being chosen to host The 2020 Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open… We continue to both maintain and evolve a course that is eye-catching from the moment you step up to the first tee-off and unforgettable by the time you tally up at the 18th hole.
